1997 in Mongolia


On 1997, some researchers was going on Central regions of Mongolian. They annotated check list of 320 spider species in central Mongolia in given, with about 190 species being recorded in Mongolia for the first time. Two new combinations are established: Gibbaraneae Hetian (Hu and Wu, 1989), comb.n. ex Araneus, and Acanthinozodium nenilini (Eskov, 1995), comb.n ex Zodarion. The spider fauna Mongolian is usually considered as rather well-explored due to numerous faunistic and taxonomic publications, of which of the most important are by Kulczynski (1901), Loska (1965), Prozynski (1979, 1982), Heimer (1985, 1987), Wesolowska (1981) and Wunderlich (1995).
